The second open qualifier for the Europe Minor reached it's last-eight stage last night, with several prominent teams still in the race for a spot.
The first open qualifier came to an end last Tuesday with Sprout and Fragsters surviving a 250+-team single-elimination bracket to earn spots in the closed qualifier.
Among the teams still in the running for a chance to earn a spot from the second qualifiers are teams like Red Reserve, Imperial and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas's Movistar Riders.
The last eight squads of the second EU Minor open qualifier are:









DreamHack Winter qualifier winners x6tence Galaxy, French duo LDLC and Vitality, and Polish side AGO were some of the other big-name sides trying their luck in the second open bracket, but were all eliminated along the way.

22:30 - Vitality stunned by Tempo Storm
Vitality, one of the favourites to reach the final, failed to make it to the Round of 16 after being defeated by Tempo Storm 7-16 on Inferno in a one-sided affair.
22:20 - LeftOut lose battle of the mixes
Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom's LeftOut are out of the qualifier in the Round of 64 after losing to cats, Nikola "Lobanjica" Mijomanović's team, 17-19 on Cache.
21:30 - Round of 32 kicks off
The fifth round of the qualifier, the last one that we will be covering in this live post, has already started, with some mouth-watering clashes being played, which you can find below:

AGO are the first big-name side to be eliminated from the qualifier after losing to Fierce 9-16 on Dust2.
20:00 - Most favorites are prevailing, AGO in trouble
The favorites are on the right track in the second qualifier, as everyone who has finished their matches has made it to round three at the very least, with Valiance, Giants, Tempo Storm already through to round four.
However, AGO are in trouble in round two, as they're currently down 5-10 against Fierce on Dust2.

Ricardo "fox" Pacheco has announced he won't be playing with Giants in the qualifier, the team is playing with the coach, Ricardo "AIm" Almeida, instead.
18:04 - bracket drawn, Chaos and x-kom out
The bracket has been drawn. Chaos and x-kom have supposedly not checked in, as they're not included in the bracket. The teams highlighted above have all received default wins in the first round.
17:11 - a mix of leftovers enters
A mix-team consisting of various free agents will also take part in the qualifier under the name "cats":

16:28 - Bpro to play with BrN
Emiliyan "spyleadeR" Dimitrov has taken to Twitter to announce Bpro will be playing the second qualifier with Branislav "BrN" Panov following the team's loss of Valentin "poizon" Vasilev.
15:08 - LeftOut to play with kRYSTAL
Former Rogue player Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend will be leading the LeftOut mix, which will feature five players from five different countries. The German has replaced Alexandre "xms" Forté, with whom LeftOut had played previously, which makes the full roster following:
